Our Mission and Goals
Mission
To be an information and advocacy resource for communities seeking to take control of their safety – focused on all elements of the justice system: police, courts and corrections.
We will build the economic bridges necessary to provide a holistic program to drive down crime rates, reduce unfair and unjust incarceration and effectively rehabilitate current inmate populations.
Where gaps in services exist, we will develop and implement support programs consistent with our community safety goals and resources.
PACT Organizational Goals
- Development of, and advocacy for, programs to reduce the incarceration rate among
African American men, women and children - Provide for the structured and productive reintegration of ex-offenders back into their
communities - Reduce the incidence of violence in our schools and grow the perceive value of education
among our children - Grow the ability of the community to impact the policy of police, courts and corrections
to their benefit, not detriment through effective networking (Church leadership and
congregations) and training
